Vintage Rumidor Copper Tobacco Humidor - 1930s Adjustable Humidifier Canister

An early Rumidor tobacco humidor in polished copper-tone metal with classic streamlined ring detailing and its original adjustable humidifying mechanism built into the lid. Designed for storing pipe or cigar tobacco, the cylindrical vessel has a removable lid, metal-lined interior, and green felt-covered base.

The Rumidor system was patented around the transition into the 1930s and was designed to regulate moisture inside the tobacco container. A handsome piece of early tobacciana that works just as well today as an antique display piece or unusual lidded storage vessel.

Condition
Good antique condition with age-related wear throughout. Scattered tarnish and oxidation spots are present on the exterior and interior, along with scratches and surface marks to the body. Several small dents are present, particularly around the edge of the lid. Green felt underside shows age, discoloration, and wear. Original humidifying component remains attached to the lid.
