Vintage MCM Anthony McFarlin Gilt Owl Sculpture

Own a piece of California pottery history with this Anthony McFarlin gilt owl desk sculpture. Cute  with inquisitive green eyes and distinctive red undercoat the McFarlin-Freeman pottery was known for. 

As with many of Freeman's pieces, it is gold leaf, and the red undercoat can be seen in some areas, which is by design, as the red coating gives warmth and vibrancy, and eventually creates a beautiful patina.
