Overview
A wonderfully graphic vintage Lucky Coffee can produced for Lucky Stores, Inc. of San Leandro, California. This one-pound Regular Grind tin features bold red, cream, and black graphics with the distinctive Lucky script logo and “Premium Quality Coffee” lettering.
Lucky Stores was founded in the Bay Area in 1935 and grew into one of California’s major supermarket chains. This private-label coffee can is an especially uncommon piece of the company’s early grocery history. We have been unable to locate another example of this exact Lucky Coffee can design, making it a particularly interesting piece of Northern California advertising ephemera.
Condition
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear, scratches, small marks, discoloration and oxidation, particularly along the lower edge and seam. The graphics remain bright and highly displayable. Includes a translucent plastic storage lid. Empty. Please review photos for condition.
