Vintage Jewelry - Silver Oddity Necklace - Talons with Stone on Custom Chain

Extremely unique necklace made from a sterling silver set of ice tongs that resemble birds claws. These tongs have been re-worked to hold a stone - or whatever you want to set into their grasp.  It will need to be the approximate size of this stone, as the tongs do not pull apart.

The chain on this piece is custom, each jump ring soldered shut. 

This piece came from an estate in the small town of Port Costa, CA. The residents were big local art collectors and had an array of curious artifacts, ceramics, neon, signage, and more. 

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Age and wear on to the metal, which is part of it's rustic look. There are no markings on the silver defining quality. 

Measurements: Claw tongs are 4.5" long, 1.25" wide. The necklace hangs 21" long in total.
