Vintage Framed Needlepoint Wall Art – Blue Parakeet Birds On A Branch

A sweet piece of handworked textile art featuring a pair of blue birds perched among leafy green branches. The needlepoint is worked against a warm cream ground and presented in an ornate antiqued gold-tone frame, giving the piece a wonderfully traditional, slightly romantic character. The reverse is handwritten “Made by Anna Martha Powell” and retains a Bradford Gallery framing label from Austin, Texas.

Condition
Good vintage condition with age-related wear. Needlework presents nicely with no major damage noted to the visible front, though it has yellowed with age. Frame has chips on the corner and to a few of the rises along the raised moulding. Paper backing is stained, torn, and partially separated along the upper portion and edges.
