Antique Silver Plate Plateau Mirror - Ornate Beveled Glass Footed Vanity Tray

Beautifully timeworn, this antique plateau mirror features a large round beveled mirror surrounded by an ornate silver-plated metal border with repeating foliate detailing. Small ball feet elevate the mirror just above the tabletop, creating the classic plateau form originally used beneath centerpieces and decorative objects. The naturally aged mirror has developed a wonderfully atmospheric, smoky appearance that gives this piece considerably more character than a modern vanity tray.

Condition
Good antique condition with visible age throughout. The mirror shows substantial age-related spotting, cloudiness, foxing, and deterioration/loss of the reflective silver backing. Surface scratching and wear are also present. The silver-plated surround has tarnish, oxidation, and finish wear. The underside backing shows staining and water damage with additional surface wear.
