Antique Metal Eyeglasses - Round Cable Temple Spectacles with Vallejo Optometrist Case

A wonderfully evocative piece of early optical history, these antique round spectacles feature delicate gold-tone wire rims, glass prescription lenses, and long riding-bow cable temples designed to curve securely behind the ears. Even better, they retain their original-style fitted case from Vallejo, California optometrist Robert H. Jackson, giving the set a distinctive piece of local history.

Condition
Fair antique condition with substantial age-related wear. The spectacles show patina, discoloration, surface wear, and signs of previous use. Glass prescription lenses remain installed and show scratching consistent with age. The case has considerable exterior and edge wear, cracking, material loss, separation along the underside, and interior wear. The optometrist markings and prescription record label remain visible.
