The Cat Vintage is officially open in Crockett California!

What is The Cat Vintage?

The Cat is a fun vintage store on 2nd Ave in the heart of downtown Crockett. The Cat is owned by two sisters, Jessie and Sam. Procuring and selling antiques and vintage has been in their family for over a hundred years, and they're happy to continue the tradition. They chose Crockett to open their showroom after visiting the town several times, and really loving the charm and closeness of the community. The sisters, originally from Maine, have lived in California's Bay Area for nearly 10 years and felt at home in Crockett.

Vintage shoppers filled the store and enjoyed drinks, chocolate, and browsing the selection in the carefully curated store. Among some of the items people came in to purchase after seeing teaser videos on The Cat's instagram were vintage singing alarm clocks, kitschy mugs with funny sayings, retro sci-fi books, and amazing vintage clothing. Curtains officially opened on The Cat's vintage clothing boutique and shoppers were delighted with the selection (and price point!) of clothes and styles.

Lisa, Kit and Pat of The Long Road Society DJ'd a set and spun classics through the day for the crowd. They even brought a gorgeous custom speaker system that matched the decor perfectly.

People enjoyed making DIY vintage valentines from scrapped art materials.  Torn up Wizard of Oz books and dried flowers made for wonderful collage supplies, and patrons unleashed their creativity in wide range of styles. Providing space for people to get creative made for a fun afternoon of sharing artwork and stories.

A special thank-you to Amber Hakim for the photos.  Lisa, Kit, and Pat from the Long Road Society for bringing the party and keeping everyone entertained with great tunes.  The Crockett Chamber of Commerce for the ribbon cutting ceremony turn out.  - and last but not least, everyone who came in and supported us!
